The Telarc LP that I had that wouldn't track on one particular bass drum hit was the Carmen Suite I think.

Of course whether a record tracks or not is completely contingent on the quality of your set up. Obviously they don't release records which are unplayable apart from Test discs. This is one of the things that test pressings are for.

Although certainly Moving Coil carts don't track as well as Moving Magnets on the whole.
I have records which my Dynavector DV20 won't track at all well, making clicking noises, whereas on a good MM like the Shure V15VMR on an other deck they play fine.

Not only is a cd smaller it has a HUGE hole compared to an LP!

Aren't the Wilson WATT/Puppy only rated to 40Hz? 20Hz extension is really quite unnecessary for enjoyment unless you have a thing for organ music or cannon shots. But if that sort of authority is what floats your boat then what are you doing messing around with analogue equipment?! Go get yourself a CD player and a class D amp.

Don't know about your class D puppy but if you want to experience bass you need to check out Dillinja's valve sound system at Fabric.

Stereo review mentioned in its review that it was unplayable too. In this case, they did release an LP with an untrackable section.

Hi memepool,
since you brought up the MC v MM thing. I use a Pickering V15, which is so musical, I have given serious thought to buying the top of the range Pickering hybrid, which needs a step-up Tx - any thoughts appreciated.
