My issues are not related to any 3rd party apps As I have it in factory set apps no extras as I don't stream but I am thinking of loading usb audio pro to see if it's a hiby player issues.
It seems that The N7 music app is broken keeps crashing when playing playlists so I exported the playlist fired up the hiby app updated it and imported it, playback is perfect. Please fix the Cayin music app seems ridiculous that if you base the native music app on hiby app that it doesn't keep up with the obviously more stable versions.
I really love the N7 when it's stable the sound signature is sublime but it's fragility in the most basic function of music playback using the branded music app is disappointing
Why does N7 have a problem with the USB-C connector? Why do third-party cables not keep the connection (I tried 3) and interrupt the connection and charging. The first time I thought that this was a problem specifically with my copy, but no, the same situation is with the Hiby R6 Pro-ii player.
It’s just that these two devices have the same complete cable and are made at the same factory...
The supplied cable works perfectly, but it is very rough and rigid. I also note that the data transfer speed is veeeeeeeeeeeeery slooooooooooooooooooooooow
Seems to be mostly issues in the comments these days but I am very excited to be getting my hands on an N7 early this week.
I sold my last one in the fall and got the RU7 hoping to downgrade gracefully but the N7 sound and magic just kept haunting me so I broke down and bought one from a fellow Headfi'er.
I'm pretty excited to hear this with my new CA Bonneville and to revisit the magical pairing with the TGXEar Desolation Sound.
I've really been enjoying my N7 with various iems since getting it! I did have one question if anyone can support - is there a go to radio app that functions well on the N7 operating system via the app store? I just want to casually listen to my local radio station at times and would prefer to not have to switch devices to say a PC etc.
Is there an aftermarket charging/transfer cable people could recommend? The seller forgot the cable and I only have a couple apple cables. I’ve had trouble with non-stock cables in the past and wondered if that’s the case here or are people using any old cable for data transfer/charging.
I wrote above that I had problems with different cables that did not provide a reliable connection, so I found a cable that does not lose connection, here:
