Cayin N7: A Voyager of Unexplored Frontier

@Andykong FYI... I just upgraded the Hiby music app in both my N7 and N8ii DAPs to version 2.1.2 using the app's own update feature, and it is completely non-functional on both DAPs. It crashes continuously and does not even recognize the SD card or network music sources. I tried deleting the user data and cache and starting with a fresh configuration, but this made no difference. Please let Hiby know they have a major bug in this update.
Did you allow the app's request to restart the device after the update?

The build number is 6078. By the way, the app crashes by only selecting "About" from the menu.
try "uninstall updates" in android settings->apps and starting over from the version that shipped with the device?

Well, uninstalling updates and reinstalling the update worked on the N7, but did not work on the N8ii until I also cleared user data again. So, I finally got the update to work, but was forced to reconfigure the app from scratch.

Correction... while reconfiguring the app by adding the account name and password for my network share, the app completely crashes like before and the only way to get it working again is to delete the user data and restart the DAP. So, the fundamental bug seems to be related to network share credentials, which worked properly on the previous version.

Can you share more details about your music network?

It's just a shared music directory on an NAS, which appears when I select "LAN" from the "Private Cloud" music source page. The app still seems to work when I do not specify account name and password for the NAS, but this generates errors in my NAS log. I guess my point is that this worked seemlessly in the previous app version, but causes the latest version to crash.

What's the brand / model of your NAS?

Are you by any chance able to reproduce the bug and then go to HiByMusic app->settings and send a bug report? (I'm guessing, if the app doesn't outright crash before you get that far, you still wouldn't want to be bothered to reproduce the bug and then reset HiByMusic data again. But I can ask 😅)

My NAS is a Western Digital My Cloud Mirror Gen2. I reproduced the bug and sent an error report.

Help please. Is there a way to move to the current location of the album you’re listening to? On the fiio m11 there was a icon in the bottom right your could click and it would take me to the albums location in my library.

The library defaults to the start of the lobrary.

Hope this makes sense.
