How is the combination soundwise? How is the sound of QDC Vx compared to others like EE LegendX and Phantom or 64 Audio Fourte or Trio or Noble Khan or Katana or Encore?

Last month I was in singapore and with n6ii I tested some of this. I own kahn. This is my perceptions by memory:

Anole vx x Noble Kahn = Vx have nore soundstage, more bass and midrange have more body. Kahn detail more the upper midrange and treble.

Tia Fourte x Noble Kahn = everything is different here. Fourte is warmer, with great bass with lots of layers and have a different tonality compare with everything I listen in life ( in a good way).

Tia trio x Noble khan = Trio is much warmer compare to fourte and more balanced as well.

All this perceptions are from listen this iems by the Cayin n6ii.

You can try to reset to factory settings

Nope, haven't had the chance to hear DX229. Auditioned the DX228 and thought it is great. I could go with both but eventually I settled with N6ii.

OK, got you. I've never felt the need to go with anything other than the A01's output maybe one day I will add an amp.

Its not about need of power. This hobby aint about needs , its all about wants or just chasing for the Holy Grail. I add this amp onto every day cause what it allows me to alter. I can boost only the subbass of the music. Or add some treble , or add only some mid bass.

I have many amps , the Arrow is way better. But the Hum has 4.4 connection.

100% agree, its just that I personally don't currently own an amp that will add anything to the N6ii. The devices I have would just be an inconvenient extra item for me to carry around with no benefit and for me would probably degrade the sound.

Might and might not. Plus I only use TH900 and Denon 9200 headphones. No iem can match these.

Wow that's fighting talk . Maybe not for sound but I know what I would prefer to take with me on a hot day when I go out for my lunchtime walk. Horses for courses.
