Yay, it finally came. Thanks to @PhilW at AudioConcierge for brightening up an otherwise crappy couple of weeks.

Out of interest, what’s the default gain setting?

I just grab today a Cayin n6ii. I have the oportunity to heard side by side Cayin n6ii and Cayin n8 brass. I can say that the Cayin n8 bb is the most beautiful and amazing sound dap I ever heard in my life. At the same time. Cayin n6ii in some musics didnt get so behind. So for the difference of the amount I preferred to invest in a new iem. I very happy with Cayin n6ii, for now :ksc75smile::ksc75smile:

How is the Tidal playback on the N6ii? I don't know if it has MQA certification but curious to see if you are getting high bitrates or not.

Tidal is super smooth and without any of the bugs I was finding with the versions I was side loading to the SR15 I had before.

On a handful of QA tracks I’ve tried, rates are high without any playback issues.

I had the same impression of the N8 as I also tested it out along with N6ii before I buy it. I have always loved the tube sound, but then considering it's almost 3 times the cost of N6ii and that I have recently also purchased two separate tube amp/dac I think N6ii is quite a good buy for me at this moment. Plus the UI is snappier and I just love the screen! Soundwise, like you said, it's not too far behind on certain genres. Still a fan of N8 brass black sound, but well that will be for the long run.

Okay, a bit of "public service announcement" here...

EDIT: For workaround. See this post (i.e. move the short-cut to page 2)

When you have your IEM / CIEM in your ear and plugged into the 4.4mm balanced, avoid NEVER play with audio settings and DO NOT tinker with this icon (switch between "-PO- / -LO-"). LOL!

4.4mm balanced phone out and line out is shared.

I had a shock yesterday when my 4.4mm terminated CIEM was in my ear and my FFF (Fat Fumbling Fingers) activated it to "-LO-" and the volume went full blast. My otherwise peaceful serene music went screaming in my head (last I heard this screeching was in a horror movie; even then it was 10x lower the volume and not a direct blast into my eardrums... ouch! But thankfully I managed to pull out the plug quickly and my hearing, as far as I can tell, are fine).

Best thing for now is to rearrange and transfer that icon on the next page.

Wise suggestion. Done.

FFF (Fat Fumbling Fingers) friendly setting. So that I don't go accidentally activate -LO- mode (which by default is next to the WiFi icon).

yes thats possible.
unfortunately most of my dac do not have coax input, and dont have the C to coax as well :p
hope @Andykong could pass the info to the cayin enginering. the main reason i bought N6ii is to pair it with topaz. Cheers mate V

This is a bug, let me report this our Engineer, will come back when I receive an validation to certify the bug and proposed solution.

Just bought one of these today. I'll then have the dx220, m11 and this to compare. I'll probably only keep 1
