Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

Thanks twister6, I ran another benchmark and this go around is performing much better. The DX220 lost 4% in charge over 8 hours while the N6II lost only 3% over 8 hours. Extrapolating the N6II drain out to 12 hours gives a much more acceptable result than my overnight test last night. I'll give it a reboot and do another overnight test tonight.

Did a test in office today...

WiFi/BT: off
Screen: off
Stanby Hours: approx. 8hrs
Background apps: Cleared All
Battery charge cycle: 1st full charge since opening the box

Battery Drain: 4%

Does anyone have any info about the different filters on the audio settings? Can it be disabled?
If you turn off the dap it will disable the filter.

These digital filters are built-into AKM chips, and as a user you can't disable it. Many people don't even hear the difference anyway or it's rather subtle. You really have to listen very close and often the difference, if any, affects the low end response.

Yeah I don't quite hear any difference yet since I'm just getting around the new DAP. But I'm unaware that those filters are embedded on the chip itself. Great to know. The only thing I'm irked right now is the offset of the home/back circle button. Aside from that its a very well built device.

A bit. Its placement is just unconventional, but hey if it sounds great it won't matter that much.

as nice as onkyo player is, does it not downsampling everything to 44.1k ?
I go by sound , on many tracks it equals. Many track on sd card are 320 BR.I put 8 music app players and been trying them out. I had Uapp with my hugo but its eq distorted the song.
