Cross-post some of my impressions of N6ii E02 + Mason FS.

Mason FS is know to be quite picky for the source, at least to the DAPs in my collection and some other DAPs I have auditioned with it (Hiby R8 and Shanling M8). Last night I tried out E02 with FS, out of curiosity. No strict A/B, just some quick thoughts.

Overall this is a pretty all-rounded pairing, with no obvious flaws/shortcomings. It actually turns out to be more musical and engaging than I thought it would be. The mids are somewhat recessed compared to P6P, but the overall dynamic is there. I was pleasantly surprised by E02’s ability and looking forward to trying out R01 with my FS and other IEMs.

The easy way out is to put your DAP into the protective case, even when your cat decided to attack your N6ii again, you only risk losing the protective case.

However, if you are dealing with a Husky, then you'll have a much bigger problem that can't be solved by a protective case.

I do have a dog but she is a good lady !! mannered haha !!

Regarding the updated firmware 2.3 EN:

Yes, I read the announcement to (1) accommodate R01, (2) bring a new MQA-related feature to the Cayin Music App, (3) change some UI wordings, (4) fix various bugs.

Fellow N6ii owners, what about your experiences? Positive? Any problems to mention?

No problem at all to me. Everything as normal.

Me too, the only thing I noticed was that one or two of the items in the menus that had Chinese text are now displayed in English.

I would be glad if you can help. Do you want a player with dtr1 feed?, But with a better middle and better highs ... Help me decide on the module or A01 or T01? Modules E01, 02 unfortunately I can't buy yet, it's a little expensive ... I'm listening to happy hardcore recorded from the radio, bitrate 192 kb / s .... Form factor earbuds k's K300, ep1

So, I've had my N6ii/02 since Wednesday. So far it's a toss up between it with the C9 vs the M8. The M8 has that smoothness that is kind of seductive but against the N6ii/A02 does seem like a "colouration". Vocals are a bit thin sometimes on the N6ii but I'm not sure if it's the recording that it's being faithful to and the M8 is actually adding romance to it. It's still very early days into the N6ii/02 so I suspect some smoothing out over time (?).. or rather I hope there's a little less grain.

I've got a preorder in for the R01 and really am curious as to how that will sound next to the M8. I can't keep both so I'm hoping this new module will bring that last bit of the M8 that I'm currently finding a bit "dry" on the N6ii/A02
