Perhaps the 3.5mm single ended line out doesn't support digital output

Digital (SPDIF) out is only via USB-C port. 3.5mm line out is intended for line-level output to, for example RCA cable to Analog Input on another device.

This is what I thought as well but did read one of the reviewers saying the 3.5mm can be output to S/PDIF.

"Minor victories aside, the N6MKII is still a boat. Across its top are: a stereo line out (SPDIF combo output), 3,5mm stereo, and a 4,4mm TRRRS balanced output."

Look at the digital interface table on that page though.

I was hoping it would be similar to the Hiby R6 where the 3.5mm is able to output to SPDIF.

Can't seem to find the USB adapter for SPDIF. Does anyone have a link to buy one?

That's an insane comparison! :) As good as these DAPs and IEMs are, I still prefer my Stax and HD800 for the best sound. Whatever floats your boat, I guess! :)

I had hd800s + hdv820 + ifi usb cable + furutech powercable with current controller ship + nano wireworld copper headphones cable with 100% copper connectors !

I still find my current wm1z + fourte noir + pw1960 to be way better )

Hi folks when I purchased my n6ii second hand it seems that I am missing this dongle 2.5 to 4.4.
If there is someone who happens to have this one and dont really need it and its picking dust would you will to donate one please?
Il pay the shipping!

I have my stock spc 8wires cable that came with my fourte noir but its termination is 2.5 zzz and this dongle would be just what I need!

Just received this adapter configured the same way from @skedra - gives my limited collection of SE terminated gear the taste of E02 goodness that they’ve been missing out on! Nice to have that versatility moving forward. Thanks @skedra !

Yeah, I bought one off skedra too. Really good thing to have as now all my iems and headphones can be used with e02

hey, n6ii e02 user here with solaris OG, i've been wondering it the lack of depth i'm experiencing is due to the solaris or the e02, thoughts on e02 depth?

How many hours have you done on E02?

It can be many things cable , iems, filters... even music !

I just did some new experiments with n6ii and amp T01.

I went inside the menu of apps and have selected to view system app. What I did is disabled all the apps that the system would let me do so. Yes even google play store and services of Google....

I am interested in pure ui experience without the android bugs.

As a result I am not 100% sure but I think I gained at least 1 hour of extra life.
Also ui feels snappier and quicker. I use only cayin music app.

1 more very important aspect about cayin app regularly crashing on me. Device was fine but only the cayin music app was stopped and restarted.

The problem to this was the side play pause next buttons! More precisely it was the disable side buttons feature when screen was off. After couple hours when you rengage the screen it made the music app crash.
Now this feature off and back defaut ( unlocked buttons) the music app no longer crashes!

I also want to add a very crucial info about n6ii after disabling all possible android apps in the app menu. My N6ii got significantly better with thermal heat management!
From being super hot and almost burning my skin to totally normal and mildly warm!

I think this is very important as it improves stability and minimum chances to trigger the throttling safety....
Heat is no good for internal parts and battery.

Now I start like my n6ii even more! It runs stable reliable for 2 days none stop! No music app crash so far! Yepi yey I yo 🌟

I find N6ii to pass threw the burn in process much quicker then traditional components. I am only at 120hour mark and boy! its delivering satisfaction!
