I’m continued to be amazed by E02. For the first time today I’m pairing it with Z1R, and boy oh boy, it takes the Z1R to another level. Overall sound becomes fuller and a lot more lively! Treble, which to me is at borderline sibilance, has a lot more weight and this alleviates the tendency to be sibilant. However, this doesn’t mean that treble becomes muted, on the contrary, it retains the energy while having more extension. Bass is more analogue sounding with just the right amount of decay, and most importantly, mids are more forward (perhaps due to improvement in treble area).

I do believe now Z1R is benefiting a lot from a high powered source. E02 is a much much better pairing than 1Z and definitely becomes my go to source for Z1R. Very very happy camper here. Just wish it has the battery life of 1Z, but I guess we can’t have it all

The n6ii was my favorite source for Z1R too. Have you tried the E01?

Unfortunately no, most of my IEMs have 4.4mm cables (except for Z1R of course which comes with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm). Previously with A01 is an ok pairing, not spectacular and still below 1Z. However with E02, it goes to another level. Now makes me wonder how N8 pairs up with Z1R

Many people said it’s more of a sidegrade going from E01 to E02. But I guess it’s down to synergy in your audio chain. I don’t know the exact power spec of E01, but I guess phones with higher power output requirement do benefit from E02.

Yeah its output is totally fine for my needs. I like having 3.5 as my standard so I'm reluctant to for it unless it's notably better than E01, which it doesn't seem to be.

Yeah, if you’re more than happy with E01 then it’s better to stick with it. But just have a listen to E02 if you have the opportunity. Who knows it might have better synergy with either your Solaris or LX

I have auditioned N8 and wm1z for a week. I found there performance very equal to each other just different flavors and sound presentation.
I also found z1r to treble elevated to my liking on wm1z and so did like the n6ii +z1r better also. It has less peaky treble. So better stick with n6ii+z1r then n8....

I’m finding that I enjoy the sharp roll off filter on the A01. I can discern the difference between this and slow roll off. I need to listen a bit more though to the other filters.

Sharp roll off is more tonally resembling to real life sound perception. Slow roll off has some nosal effect lol
