.... and I thought I was pretty open with my music tastes and could pretty much listen to a little bit of most things... but I think I might just have found a few that I can't!! You carry on enjoying it though, cause it certainly is an acquired taste to which I think I would never become accustomed to.... each to their own and all that. Holy crap.

Yep , I too enjoy Rock , Pop , Jazz , but not Country and Bluegrass. Christian well I went to see Stryper four times. Seen Steely Dan four times , Pat Matheny four times , Stones four timed , Rush five times , Queen three times , Bee Gees two times.
There is saying that 80% of our music are rooted into the kind of music that we enjoyed before 30 years old. This works for me very well as HK pop songs from late 70 to early 90 dominated my music library.
By the way, I'll be 58 in couple of months, so I probably don't have time to roll back and learn to appreciate the Slam and Brutal Death Metal.

I like listening to new stuff too. It is a good way to find new artists or genres that one likes. One would never know if they did not listen to new stuff too.
