The FiiO M11 Pro is a far better choice than the R6 Pro in all aspects.

Even from "similar to N6ii" perspective? the original question was "cost reduced version of the N6II"

Oh yeah, you are not alone in that boat either. I understand. I'll just have to play with my other toys until I can get this one. I would though like to get that USB-C to coax cable, do you know who has one in stock? I checked with one dealer but no joy.

Have no idea on that, sorry! :beerchug:

Where in USA can I pre-order this item? Sorry if this was mentioned already. I don't see it on musicteck site.

MusicTeck, they'll put N3Pro on their website after N3Pro is listed on Cayin website, wait a few days please

Have you considered HiBy R6Pro? from features, OS and budget point of view, this should fit your bill?
Hey Andy. Actually I do have a HiBy unit that is pretty good and handles Amazon HD reasonably well; the R5.

Right now I have one Shanling unit that is playback only (M2S); a unit that does handle "Music As a Service" (that same HiBy R5); and a great sounding unit that is effectively playback only (well it kind of supports Tidal downloads but only to the internal memory). That last unit is something called a N5II. Anyway the Shanling will eventually be replaced as its function is usurped by the N5II and the R5 does something fairly different. But I wish you well on the N3Pro as it has a cool feature list and I bet it sounds great.

I know it won't happen but it sure would be great to figure out a way to bring the N5II to a higher level of Android to support Amazon Music. Well we can all dream. I do realize that the OS for that unit was a joint operation with HiBy which makes everything a bit difficult.

I have a very bad taste in using DAPs, for never using microSD and using inner memory or OTG SSD (sonetimes optane memory as strage).
I think Cayin N3 Pro is very promising. Currently I use iBasso DX160 for its sound quality and its parametric equalizer. But if the sound of Cayin
N3 Pro is good, I'm going to use it. I hope to try N3 Pro in near future at the shops.

Looking forward to the N3 pro when it becomes available.
Been waiting for Cayin to have a player running on proprietary OS instead of Android (a major reason for skipping N6ii).

Hi Andy,
From your understanding, where does the N3 pro sits in terms of sound quality when compared to the original N6?

If Cayin does an N6ii with proprietary OS, i'm pretty sure there's an audience for it too.

Just pulled the trigger on Jaben Singapore. Blind pre-order purchase, never owned a Cayin device before. The SGD/CHF exchange rate is quite good, so it costs approx USD 430, free leather case and Fedex priority incl., shipped to Europe.

Let’s see what this DAP does. Hopefully, slight warmish yet detailed sound.

Ive been getting close to pulling the trigger on the LP6K, but this announcement has me delaying that decision. Really looking forward to hearing more as release date approaches and first impressions start flowing in.
