Just got my N3 case in! Feels a bit cardboard like, not like the smooth leather of the X1-II's case. But, still much nicer than the silicone crap that came with it. Fits nice and tight on the N3. I would've like it better if it was shiny leatherette, the card slot was covered, and the opening was on the bottom instead of the top.

It does make finding the side buttons easier with the cutouts and does give a nice gap underneath the capacitive buttons to help finding the center of the bottom row buttons.

Great, can you post some pics of all 4 sides so we can see the fit?

Talking about this, I dont know why the lightning to usb-c cable cant work with the iphone and a external dac/amp, for example:

iphone <-- lightning ---- usb-c --> cayin n3 (as dac/amp)

I read this will not work, instead it should be like this:

iPhone <--lightning --- CCK <-- usb ---- usb-c ---> cayin n3

anyone understand this?

so, this company could make a cable to just by-pass the CCK? so we could connect the iPhone lightning directly to any external dac/amp

They probably could make a cable for the physical connection, but it may or may not work, depending on whether the CCK contains any Apple Intellectual Property (proprietary chips or firmware) which converts between Lightning signals and USB-C signals.

And keep in mind that Apple has been known to change CCK protocol across iOS updates which in turn breaks functionality of some cables.

Here's a quick grab that shows the N3 in case compared to the X1-II in it's respective case...

Did you order the gray color on purpose, or is that the only one available?

It's actually a very dark gray. Very dark. But, the on-axis lighting shows it much lighter than it actually is. And it's the only color available... the color is very close to the "Carbon" frame of an Aeron.

If my product table wasn't currently hosting a shoot, I'd put it on there in soft, color accurate lighting and it's show much more accurately.

I just jumped on the N3 train. I got the red one to match my red X5iii. I plan to use this one as my travel and hiking unit. Anxious to see how this will sound as compared to my others (Plenue D, X3ii and X5iii). Got a 200G card to use to make sure I can put a good amount of music on it...
