Hello folks. I was planning a small update today, but I'm kind of in the middle of the Massdrop CTH thingy and a few other things. I'll be back......

Ah I think not. It is however a real Cavalli design but is not a better version of the carbon. Cavalli does not build it, Massdrop builds it.

Will be interesting to see and hear. One could view this as either V3 Liquid Carbon or Liquid Carbon "Lite". I'm sure building these in China for the MD version lowers the costs considerably. Looks like a pretty sweet deal either way.

WOW - perfect timing for me!
@CEE TEE - has anyone compared the sound of the LCX vs. Cavalli LCv2 ?
If sound remains the same - I am totally in for one!!!

It definitely has the Cavalli audio signature and even if it were made here by Cavalli it would still be about the same price. In fact knowing Alex as I do, possibly less than Massdrop is selling it for. It is a design clearly pointed at price but at $299 is a good product. It is not by any means as good aa a carbon but it's good like you'd expect from any of Alex's designs.

To answer your question, I apologize I haven't heard the LCX vs the LCv1 or 2 so I can't extend any impressions on that.

Guys I just had to check with Alex. I was only aware of his CTH going on Massdrop. I knew Massdrop had asked for the carbon but was told that wasn't going to happen. Obviously since CanJam SoCal a new decision was made at some point. After speaking with him just a few minutes ago by txt it turns out he is going to let a version of the carbon go on Massdrop. So the CTH is as I thought $249 and as for the carbon I have no idea of price. I apologize for not having up to date infornation and in the future will check before I comment to be sure my responses are accurate
