Hi All,

I have always been a solid state guy, but the MCTH has really piqued my interest in tube amps. In reading up on it I saw mentions of upcoming new amps in Cavalli Audio lineup in the $1,500 range and thankfully came across this thread!

My current headphones I am interested in pairing with are the Audeze LCD-4 (200 ohm version) and ZMF Atticus. I do have a balanced DAC (Auralic Altair), so I do prefer fully balanced if possible, but I'm not looking to spend a ton of money either. What amps in the 2017 lineup might be a good match and <$1,500-$2,000?

Are there any updates in regard to timelines and pricing levels? Thanks in advance!

I actually joined the MCTH drop - figured it is hard to go wrong with a $250 Cavalli designed amp...
I was also lucky enough to audition it at the SF meet a week ago with the ZMF Atticus (which are next on my headphone wanted list). GREAT match to my ears, BTW.

It is not balanced, but sounded so great that the upcoming Cavalli amps would have to sound unbelievable for me to upgrade from the MCTH
(or add some other trick people want, such as balanced)

@TSAVJason - come on buddy, provide some updates... Also, any hint / leak whether Cavalli going to have an announcement at RMAF in 6 weeks (I will be there!!! )

I was at the same meet and tried the same combo! Ended up buying the Atticus on the spot. That's what started me down this rabbit hole with tube amps. I would have joined the drop, but a couple of things working against it for me: 1) I know myself and it would end up being a "gateway amp" that would make me look at the more expensive amps in the lineup down the road and 2) it doesn't ship until next February and supposedly the new lineup will be available in time for Christmas.

So I figure I might as well just skip the MCTH altogether and go straight to one of the other new models, especially if they'll be available sooner. Oh the waiting game is so fun... hah!

We ALL have 5 more days before we are supposed to hear from Alex Cavalli. I guess we'll know what's up at that point.

I wish I could offer more news but unfortunately I have none to give.

I'm waiting for the LW (liquid tungsten).

In the past, even when a product was (finally) opened for pre-order, it was a few months after that until actual delivery.

Are Alex and Warren changing that delivery model, or is that still the expected MO?

Warren has been working for Head-fi a long time. He hasn't been working for Cavalli for quite a few months.

Alex said he would make his announcement about Cavalli on September 1st.
