Last CanJam, ZMF offered a 15% show discount. Don't know about any others tho...

There will be show discounts and I guess the information will be published here and if not then also you can shamelessly ask manufacturers for the discount at the table as well. You will get good deals trust me if you ask.

There are almost always show specials at CanJam events, and the list is usually posted during the week leading up to the show. It’s far too early to know what specials will be at this years CanJam NYC, but here’s a link to last year’s specials to give you an idea what you might find in 2024.

Yes, many will purchase gear at CanJam. I have not witnessed others trade gear, but I would imagine that might be set up in advance of attending. But it is mainly for manufacturers and shops to sell gear.

I know people will buy gear from vendors. I'm talking about show goers buying gear or trading gear with each other.

Not like a flea market sort of thing, but like if people try out each other's gear and make offers to obtain what they like/want.

Joking aside, I've not seen people doing this, but then I'm not one of the cool kids. I suppose it's possible to hand over purchased items in person there, rather than ship them.

It happens. I’ve seen classified posts where it’s noted someone will be at CanJam and the exchange can take place there.

Thanks @kumar402 and @ericrosenfield! I just had back surgery so I'm not sure if I'm going to be fully back on my feet by then to make it to the show (it's a month, so fingers crossed), and I've really been wanting to purchase an Atrium.

Staying at the Marriott is very convenient, and means not having to worry about possibly inclement weather, but there are a lot of excellent hotels in the vicinity. When I attended a couple years ago, I stayed at the Iroquois, about three blocks from the venue. Nice, quiet, stylish, older hotel, although the room wasn't huge.
