Dear Head-Fi'ers,

for the very first time we will attend a US Canjam - we are looking very much forward to it!
Our co-founder Marcel and our main sound engineer Oliver Marino will be there at our booth.

To let you know a little bit about our plans for the show...

Vision Ears is celebrating the 10th anniversary this year and we are very proud of what we achieved this far. As a special THANKS we are planning to launch an anniversary model. We designed an anniversary logo „ X „ (attached).



Visitors can ONLY listen to our 2 prototypes on the CanJam NYC for the first time, then we are going to present those two in Singapore again.
That’s it, only those 2 shows.

For all visitors who listen to them and would like to give us their feedback by writing a super short review on a card, will get the opportunity to win a brand new EVE20 by the end of each day.
Btw, a VE pen is a gift for each „super short reviewer“

FYI: both prototypes will be covered with a foil - it’s not the final design, of course

Here are the conditions for participation

• drop by the VE booth
• ask for the prototypes and review card
• give us your name on a separate card
• come back to our booth 30 min before the show ends
• we will shout out the winners name 2 times, if the winner isn’t available, we go for another one
• the price „EVE20“ will be given away directly at our booth, no waiting time

The Diablo X will have MQA thru USB, and not thru Spdif, if I have any other info I will certainly pass it on to you!

The DT770 listening station
The latest feature of the Dekoni booth, first unveiled at CanJam SoCal 2022. Our Beyerdynamic DT770 80ohm station will have eight 770's for comparison. As always we try to convey sounds signature changes of ear pads as best we can. The best way to show this is for people to listen for themselves. Each DT770 will be run off a splitter pre-amplified by a Drop 789 and Drop Balanced SDAC. Start from the left end of the table with a bone stock DT770 and move your way down in real time to the other seven headphones featuring Dekoni's ear pads for DT series headphones. No need to swap pads for pad rolling, hear the differences in real time!

Dekoni X Hifiman Cobalt!
Available to the public for the first time is the new Dekoni X Hifiman Cobalt.

At 16 ohms and 101dB, the new cobalt utilizes a Carbon nano coated driver developed by Hifiman. Weighing in at 318g this headphone comes pre-installed with Dekoni Fenestrated Sheepskin angled ear pads. Also included are Elite Velour ear pads designed for increased depth to optimize better imaging and acoustic space.

To characterize the sound signature of both ear pads:
Fenestrated Sheepskin or what I dub the "Fun" ear pads increases upper bass and low mids to create more presence in low frequency instruments.
Elite Velour or the "Analytical" ear pads don't have the bump in the previously mentioned regions, offering a flatter response with superb imaging.

As a design note from myself. I approached the project with the aim to create a Hifiman that doesn't fit the typical mold of Hifiman sound signature. I'm excited to finally hear public feedback and hope to see you all there!
