Just in case if you are driving from NJ, that's my 1hr commute to NYC, I highly recommend reserving a parking spot across the Times Square using SpotHero, will cost you 1/2 the price rather than showing up at the garage and paying $65.

I was actually planning on taking the ferry over, but the crappy weather forecast has me reevaluating. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, I'm from North Carolina, the South has basically zero public transportation and everything is very spread out, it's mandatory to own a car here. The rare exception is the few larger cities we have and even then it's still a struggle.
