You're in a similar boat as me with my n6ii. You should sell the WM1A and consider joining me on the LP6K wagon.
But before you sell it check out the new custom firmware MrWalkman has created.

One allows the 1A to use the 1Z sound signature and the other is a new enhanced sound or the 1A or 1Z.

What is this firmware and where can I learn more about it? In the end, the only reason I am thinking of selling it in favour of the Lotoo 6k is because of background noise. It’s subtle but since this discussionit has become more noticeable. Ha.

Just got my Solaris 2020 at last!
I've waited for them for 1.5 months and its sort of good that I had that time to thoroughly investigate online about what to expect. Aaand so I'm trying not to panick over the fact that they sound like crap without burn in.
:)
First half hour in 🙄
there is no way , that a set which sound like crap out of box , will sound excellent after xxx hours...sound changes are on the more subtle/minor side.
maybe its defect or you just dont like it :D

Any dynamic driver IEM or headphone will sound different OOB and then after xxx hours. This is also true for loudspeakers due to the mechanical nature of the drivers.

In either case it's suggested that you burn or run them in.

yes thats true , but there is no night n day difference . like a set which sound really like garbage out of the box will turn after 100h to an excellent sounding dream set.. i dont say there is no change , but not by that margin.
