Hi guys, been a while. Still in love with the Solaris. The 64 Audio B stock sale has my ears perked. Anyone compare Solaris w/ Tia Trio? It's the only 64 Audio IEM I haven't heard.

I am now saving her for a pairing with the WM1Z.. after much uhming and ahhing I found the hiss issue with the Cayin N8 disturbing. Only reported on the Andromeda in a couple of reviews, I couldn't risk it for a high end DAP.

How are you guys finding switching back and forth from the Solaris to your home audio set ups? my ATC SCM19s sound lovely but gosh the Solaris is such a lively gorgeous sumptuous affair, its like being with your lovely long term partner and finding a Parisian under graduate student for a sordid affair.. so exhilarating

I was also looking at the sale, but in our moment of indecisiveness, it is sold out now :worried:

Idk about the 1Z but I'm getting a bit of hiss from my 1A. It's not bad though. On the ZX300 it's almost inaudible for some reason .

I'm not hearing any hissing on the WM1Z using a balanced Effect Audio Eros II+ 8 Wire and this was on High Gain,

Is there any tooggle in audio setting "AudioClearSignal+" CMIW? based on memory.
I used this when demoing Nw-zx2... It really reduce the noise, the function similar like using ifi ematch... its a good feature, but somehow, i felt reduce the dynamics...

ZX300, it's really tempting....

are this SXC8 ?
No, this is the Super litz in 2.5mm, 3.5mm and 4.4mm.

SXC-8 is much thicker.

(I should have titled it).

Super Litz:

The zx300 is honestly amazing. I've posted my thoughts on the zx vs 1a on a different thread, but basically, I don't think there's a difference in SQ. I did days and days of comparisons and then blind tested my gf, who has a pretty good ear and she chose the zx 3/4 times as sounding better.

The main draw of the 1a is battery for me. It lasts a good bit longer than the zx.

I'm at the point where I am wanting to sell the 1a.

Depends on the iem. With the CL2, WM1A is head and shoulders better.
Wider deeper soundstage, and by wider I mean at least 25% , maybe more.
Better instrument separation.
ZX300 is pretty nice regardless, just depends on the iem you are using.

One is warmer/less extended treble , the other less warm more neutral.

It's not as simple as that. I used to think the same thing, till I actually listened to all the Sony Daps first hand.
The WM1A and 1Z have similar soundstages, the 1Z is warmer and has more textured bass, which works with some iems and doesn't with others.
The ZX300 is more mid forward, and has a narrower soundstage, bass is not very far from the 1A.
Out of all 3 Sony Daps, my personal preference is for the WM1A.
I already have the ZX300, and after listening to the 1A, I will be buying it next week, at full retail price.
Wouldn't do that, if there was no difference, or if it was minute.
Solaris is a colored iem, it probably shows little difference between the 2 daps, I am not doubting that.
