Ever since getting the WM1Z in December I haven't been able to take the Trifecta out of my ears. Given all the enthusiasm lately I decided to take my Bonneville out for a spin today...it's just as great as I remembered :D

How do you find the synergy of Bonneville + WM1Z vs. RS8? I’m enjoying Bonneville & RS8 immensely, but have read your praise for WM1Z and the descriptions you’ve used about it’s sound profile really peak my interest. Grateful for a view.

Are you running all to DSD? And how often do you use the Vinyl emulation? I read up on the unit this week, really impressive internals and DSP!

Hi CA fans. I'm thinking about my making the Supermoon my first CA investment. I'd be grateful for any thoughts on how much the performance might be improved with a Time Stream Metal Balanced 4.4 mm cable (currently on sale here at Drop), rather than the standard 3.5 mm it ships with (also from Drop). The main pairing will be a Shanling M7 which has a really good 4.4 mm output, significantly better than the 3.5 mm one, hence my question.

Just a couple beauties in the sun.

I’m looking forward to more people getting their hands on Fathom. I’m intrigued. :)

@-rowan- , @R7photo - interested in hearing the main difference between the Black Star and the other crew. I don't think I'll have access to the Chromatic series unless I'm able to attend a headphone meet that either features CFA or has someone who brought theirs. Unlikely for me.

For those asking about the ie600 vs. Black Star. Two different things - I enjoy both. The treble issue that some have with the ie600 can sometimes be remedied by foam tips, but it is always going to be there. I have the ie900 and the ie600 and maybe you might enjoy the 900 more. The treble peak is there, but it isn't as much as issue as it is a feature.

Black Star is even more 'reference nearfield monitor' than the ie600 'hi-fi 2-channel setup'. Hope that makes sense. More even presentation and more linear on the whole. (BlackStar)
