What tips are you using/have tried? Many thanks.

David
Currently I use the Coreir Brass tips. They work best for me. I also have a big tip collection to be able to switch any time. Didn't do tip rolling with Trifecta yet.

The versions are 100% identical in sound, every person that tells a different story talks bullsh!t.
But people also pay 1000$ for a USB cable and think it enhances soundstage.
Of course unit variations / tips / sources can play a role but not the unit itsself.

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking, thanks 👍🏻

I’ve owned the OG and currently own the AR…they are sonically the same.

Has anyone tried these with the ifi Go Pods yet? Tempted to try the wireless route and not carry around a dap.
Yes, it works fantastic. The size of the Go pods is subsantial but the design is clever. The Trifecta are super easy to drive and sound great from my iPhone. The usual Trifecta heft and stage - all is there.

Hi all, I've been doing a lot of reading and research, feel like I narrowed down what I may want as the next level up from my 2017 Andromeda, RN6 or the Trifecta. Does anyone have experience listening to both and want to share their thoughts? I will be using them with my 9038d or my Evga nuaudio. My listening preferences are pretty wide depending on my mood/work, from classical, 60-80s rock, edm, lofi, 80-90s rap, with the occasional country. My source is mostly Tidal hifi. Side note, might use them to listen/watch shows or movies occasionally. Thanks for the help!

For your rap and rock there’s arguably nothing better on the market right now than the Trifecta. There’s a good chance it would handle your edm and lofi quite well also. It’s probably not the best choice for classical. Rn6 is a totally different sound— more reference like, and thus more versatile, but lacking the soul and feeling of the Trifecta,

As much as i like the Trifecta, be careful with too warm music, it can get bloaty in the midrange fast. Especially rap and electronic music. Live music and rock and metal is were it shines the most imho. Movies are also sublime on the Trifecta. It's also not a fast IEM which you probably want for electronic music.

Oh, by the way, a Code24 is incoming as i don't like the colour matching of the Fusion 1 with the Astral Plane Trifecta that much.
The Fusion cable will go to the Annihilator (gold matching!) and the Venom with Pentaconn which is sitting on the Anni now will be perfect for the Pilgrim Noir which i'm also waiting for (black matching!).

Cross posted to Fir audio thread as well but posting a bit more detail to my preferences:

I grew up with older speakers like the vintage klipschorns, jbl 4425, kef 104/2, Ryan speakers mcl-3, etc. While I'm not expecting big sounds from iems compared to speakers, it would be nice if I could get close to that without buying headphones. Would listen to them more but would probably get noise complaints at night.

When I listen to music, I sometimes like to hear the different nuances and detail in a song such as the secondary guitar or an off beat which I guess would be more analytical. The other times however, after a long day or when I want to just unwind with an old fashioned, I want to just kind of immerse in music and take everything in. Might need 2 iems but was hoping one of the 2 choices mentioned would fit that goal.

Artists would range from deadmou5, excision, pink Floyd, eagles, dire straits, Dr Dre, Tupac, assorted g-funk, willie Nelson, and the highwaymen. I occasionally listen to soundtracks such as those composed by Joe Hisaishi or some Carmen.

If you have any suggestions where else to post, please let me know. Trying to get as much info before I purchase since both are big jump from what I had so far iem wise.

You can always get one generalist like the Canpur 622B instead of a specialist, but the immersion / live-factor won't be that of the Trifecta.

the CP622B is amazing, but nothing alike the Trifecta.

Get the Trifecta if you like big sound, emerging sound, bass, (lets be fare some treble spike) litteral air movement from 3 dd.

The Canpur is almost dead nutral with boneconduction. One of the best IEM’s I know, amazing imaging and soundstage.

But the 2 are nothing alike.
