If your 2 prong power cable is not indexed (one prong larger than the other so you cannot swap the Live/Neutral) then consider plugging it first and listening for any buzz or hum. There's always some at low levels, almost like a noise floor. Then turn it off and flip the power plug, repeat the test. If one orientation is quieter than the other then bingo! If not then it doesn't matter.
This usually applies for amps with phono inputs or separate phono preamps. I live in Malaysia (UK plug) so most of my equipment power plugs has been changed to UK so it won't be flipped.

I did not know Malaysia used the UK plug design. You poor folks; ever had the pleasure of stepping on one barefoot in the dark? :xf_wink:

I'm 50 and never done that. They don't come out the wall so easy like US/EU ones. lol. I leave mine plugged in.

Managed to make one decent shot of the little aiwa.

Have been positively surprised with how well it's doing.
Barely breaking a sweat under the regular use.
Did get to stretch it's legs thanks to a mishap with high gain... Good thing it was on speakers.

The headphone out was adding a high pitched whine to the mix, but chucking a ferrite at it fixed it. The background is still not Pitch black, but that's the only thing I can put against this amp.

Wowzas. Not yet because we don't leave plugs on the floor. Stepped on plenty of Lego and screws though.
It happens mostly with floor lamps, after my other half has moved them and leaves the cable unplugged. Unfortunately with the thin cables fitted to lamps the UK plug design means it has a habit of landing on the floor pins facing up. The longer ground pin gets your foot first...

Is your Aiwa from the 2000s? Just looking at the logo font.
