Sony invented the earbud, and the IEM, and the Discman, and the Walkman, so basically... they invented portable audio.
 
I think you'll be better off with the E829 than some random $6 TDK.

I bought a $10 pair of sony MDR-E9LPs at Dick Smith today. The fit is kind of lousy, but the sound quality is amazing for $10. Definately a good buy as a backup pair. Now just to wait for my PK2s to arrive (again...).
