Step one: measure T/S 8 times calculate SD
Step two: Burn in speaker x # of hours
Step three: measure T/S 8 times calculate SD
Step four: t-test and determin % chance that the two drivers are the same.

Nice method, but one question, what exactly is that "T/S" to be measured?

When I had these AKG's, I remember telling myself one day, "Wow, they're actually quite warm and bass came out a little more"...but I had forgotten I messed with the eq settings a few days earlier. Great headphones.

Not only the burn in exists on the K-70X... AKG also change drivers during the production time 2006-2011, K-701/702/Q701.

I know, old thread, however, I'm curious, how did AKG change drivers during production run?  Anyone hear a difference?  Most of the difference I hear seems to be attributed to the change in the density and geometry of the ear pads.

As an aside note, I'm now the owner of the AKG #10073 that was tested by the OP here. :)
