So if I were to go for a $100-200 IEM...
Spring 2 or Fiio FH3? I find the driver setup of the Spring 2 enticing, but then... I want something that's a bit of an upgrade / complement to my beloved Starfield and not just get another pair of IEMs just for their own sake. That's what the sub-$100 section of the Chifi market is for. (Kinda eyeing the BQYEZ KC2 for that... Because obviously I don't own enough IEMs yet... Damn cargo cult hobby...)
I’m looking at fh3 also. Best wait for more user reviews. Driver suite appears comparable to dunu 2001, which seems highly regarded, but I’m concerned QC issues for recent FiiO iems. Take a look at fd1 thread
In theory, if the combined output impedance of source and cable is higher than 1/8 of that treble impedance low point on the graph then it will introduce distortion in the driver that's responsible for that very low impedance (I assume the piezo, in this case).
I found this out getting to grips with the T800, whose bass drivers have an impedance of 4ohms. Any source / cable combo that is higher than 0.5 ohms OI makes the bass roll-off / creates imaging issues. If you go above 1 ohm OI on T800 you also get treble driver issues.

BQEYZ lucky bag!!!!!!! Or rather lucky vending machine.
I think so far BQEYZ has generally good reviews for their gear, so this might be a win-win situation to take a punt! Seems Spring 1 or Spring 2 is inside the draw too!

There may be limiting factor considerations in this scenario. If impedance is appreciably lower re piezo drivers, compared to BA & DD, it seems like piezo, being distortion sensitive, may impose a power limitation and restrict or handicap dynamic range potential of ba/dd?
Big chance you will get a KB1 if you have ordered the lucky bag vending machine thing. There are 5 reviews at the moment and 3 stating they have received KB1 and 2 reviews have not specified what they have received.

Not that i expected them to give everyone a Spring 1 or 2 but it looks like it is 90% chance of getting KB1. I haven’t seen any mentions anywhere of BQ3, KC2, K2 for example.
