BQEYZ in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

So if I were to go for a $100-200 IEM...
Spring 2 or Fiio FH3? I find the driver setup of the Spring 2 enticing, but then... I want something that's a bit of an upgrade / complement to my beloved Starfield and not just get another pair of IEMs just for their own sake. That's what the sub-$100 section of the Chifi market is for. :D (Kinda eyeing the BQYEZ KC2 for that... Because obviously I don't own enough IEMs yet... Damn cargo cult hobby...)
I’m looking at fh3 also. Best wait for more user reviews. Driver suite appears comparable to dunu 2001, which seems highly regarded, but I’m concerned QC issues for recent FiiO iems. Take a look at fd1 thread

Will you kindly expand on this observation?

In theory, if the combined output impedance of source and cable is higher than 1/8 of that treble impedance low point on the graph then it will introduce distortion in the driver that's responsible for that very low impedance (I assume the piezo, in this case).

I found this out getting to grips with the T800, whose bass drivers have an impedance of 4ohms. Any source / cable combo that is higher than 0.5 ohms OI makes the bass roll-off / creates imaging issues. If you go above 1 ohm OI on T800 you also get treble driver issues.

Apologies for brevity, written in some haste!

Agreed 100%, the Audiosense T800 performs best with a source with as lowest output impedance as possible, as close to zero is best for it.

A lot of people didn’t listen or didn’t understand that, hence why the T800 impressions are all over the place.

Oh well, they sound awesome to me :)

There may be limiting factor considerations in this scenario. If impedance is appreciably lower re piezo drivers, compared to BA & DD, it seems like piezo, being distortion sensitive, may impose a power limitation and restrict or handicap dynamic range potential of ba/dd?

Just posted my Spring 2 review for those interested. It seems BQEYZ is still making good stock.

Big chance you will get a KB1 if you have ordered the lucky bag vending machine thing. There are 5 reviews at the moment and 3 stating they have received KB1 and 2 reviews have not specified what they have received.

It was to be expected, I guess. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive, but at least I know I'll get the BT cable too.

Got my first part of the lucky bag. It was indeed a BT cable plus a wired cable as extra. I am wondering what model IEM i will get.

Most of the single lucky bag buyers say they have received a KB1 in their Aliexpress reviews as of now.

There are 2 buyers who have bought multiple lucky bags and there was K1 inside their package together with KB1 and some other stuff.

Only 1 buyer thus far who has received Spring 1. Also some buyers which have not specified what they have received

Received my lucky bag today - black KB1, extra black stock cable, and Bluetooth cable.
