I run 3-5 times per week on my treadmill for 1-2 miles.  I sweat moderately.

I love listening to religious music and am wanting to upgrade from simple sony sport headphones to Bose AE2 vs Sennheiser HD 448

Bose AE2
 lightweight, won't bother running

Sennheiser HD 448
sounds like they would sound better, and have better bass
  I like good bass

Some on the forum recommend that one should not buy around the ear phones for running because the sweat will ruin them.  Is this really true?

I can't use in the ear phones, they are all too low quality.
I don't want a cheap sound, I want a really good quality sound.

Therefore I'm hoping I can wear one of these headphones, while running to get the quality.

What do others think?  Thanks in advance!

You definitely haven't been trying the right in-ear headphones if you've already written them all off!

For working out, I wouldn't ever recommend full-size headphones. Too big and clunky, you don't want to worry about keeping the headphones on your head! Clip-ons or in-ears are the way to go IMO.

KSC75 or Porta(sporta) pro's would be right up your ally and about 80-100$ cheeper.

I called Sennheiser tech service and they were very helpful at 1-877-736-6434

They suggested the
HD 220 Adidas

Frequency response 19-21,000 Hz
http://www.sennheiserusa.com/sport-headphones-stereo-on-ear-headphones_504687

It's closed ear, so I won't get hot from an around the ear model, that would not let the hot air out around my ear.
They said heat might be more important that sweat that ruins the pads every so often

We also discussed the HD 238

Frequency response (headphones)
16 - 23,000 Hz
http://www.sennheiserusa.com/ear-stereo-headphones-HD-238_502763
However it has fabric ear cushions which would absorb sweat
Replacement pads on this model are are only $9

How much better would I get from the higher range of frequency resonse?
Is it worth replaceing the pads more frequently?
