Beyerdynamic to launch new top headphone at IFA -- called T1

I listened to the T1 through a DAC (which had all the fancy knobs on the front and a clipping meter etc) and a SPL Auditor

Yeah, the headband does bend a lot, but I could imagine it would bend the other way, like it would be squashed like a pancake

Friends, could be possible to show or send links about the measuring of T1 or other graphs about T1? Once, at about 50 or 100 pages ago, there somebody has presented several good graphs but I can not find it, frequency to impedance graph etc. On www.headphone.com there is figure up to 600 ohm, and when you draw T1, there you see only very small „hat“. Thanks.

OK so I've finally received the replies from Gunter Weidemann from Beyer and Kingwa who is designer or the Audio-gd products, and here is the thing about the FUN and questions about voice coil and voltage :

"The FUN can output 160MW a 600 ohms, max SPL for Ti is 123DB"
Kingwa

"An amplifier output of 160 mW at 600 ohm is absolutely sufficient to drive the T1. Due to the newest beyerdynamic Tesla driver technology with highest efficiency, the SPL of 123 dB shall be more than enough, even providing plenty of reserves. So the T1 shall be a perfect match to your amplifier."
Gunter Weidemann

So do you also think that my amp voltage swing would be sufficient to get the voice coil of the T1 to move properly so that they are not only being driven loud enough but also properly?
Pacha

"the amplifier manufacturer needs to confirm that the amp voltage is constant over the whole frequency range, and does not drop at low frequencies when a load of 600 ohm is applied. And you should ask for the distortion (THD) when driving the amp with 160 mW output. If everything is fine, you will have great experience with the T1!"
Gunter Weidemann

"The FUN output 160MW/600 ohms distortion less than 0.1%, the output 10V is test in 20HZ to 20KHZ."
Kingwa

"yes, that shall be properly working"
Gunter Weidemann

I want to thank them again for their support.

I guess that will help a few here when checking the specs of their amp to see if it will match with the specs and requirements of the T1.

That is a very useful post.

A quick thumb through Phonitor's manual... THD @1kHz0.005%... 1.7W @1kHz and 600ohm connection... looks like I'm finally running out of excuses...

Ordered mine 26.1.2010 got them last friday.

They seem to provide quite a leap to better sound fidelity from my Sony SA-5000. Now I think I can hear my current rig suck (Corda Aria ->Lehmann Black Cube -> Goldring GR2 vinyl player)...

highest efficiency? where? I know I listen to HD650 at 12:00, RS-1 at 1:00 (low setting), and T1 at 2:00~2:30. WA22 max out at 5:58. T1 is hard to drive properly.

VR's position not means output watts, but means voltage gain.

I agree that they are hardly efficient when I compare with my own headphones but maybe he is comparing with the other 600ohms beyers?

I ordered two weeks ago from TTVJ and they shipped on Friday. They should get here tomorrow.
