Hi,

just wanted to let you know guys that I tried my T90 Jubilee on my recent acquisition the Sansui AU-2200 Amp from 1973 (golden era of Sansui).

That thing puts out pretty amazing power through the headphone out. I use it mostly with the speaker taps via the HE-Adapter from hifiman to drive my HE-560, LCD2.2f and HD650 balanced.

My T90 usually does a great job in the office being driven via the Bottlehead Crack - but the office got noisier so, I am using now mostly the Oppo PM-3 with the hifi iDSD micro.

So home I went with the T90 and connected  it to the Sansui - and wow, I am spoiled by the bh crack with speedball but the Sansui sounds absolutely amazing T90 seem to love that amp. luish and musical, very tube like.

Vintage amps can do wonders to hard to drive headphones, this one especially. Am totally excited and hope the Sansui lives on for a long time....

Cheers,
K

Some of the older stereo receivers do work very well....I have a Van Alstine Pre-Amp with a headphone out that is absolutely as good as many amps I have had and heard... simply amazing... the best amp lately has been the Crack with Speedball mod and a vintage RCA 6AS7G and a wonderful NOS Sylvania 5963 JAN.

Music is just freaking wonderful...

Do you think 220 dollars for a used pair (7 months old, still under 2 year warranty) is a good price for T90? I'd like it as a complement to my HE-400i.

EDIT: Actually I have a chance to buy HE-400i (new, already bought it), Fidelio X2 (new) and T90 (used) from the same dealer for $1050 (£675, €965). I really like these three headphones. They have their own place in the spectrum.
