May i ask how you guys keep your earpads clean?  I am now the third owner of my pair and i think the earpads and headband are not as full, clean, and plush as they used to be.  Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I just use potty seat shields around each earpiece to prevent the problem from the start.

Thank you Robert777 for sugesting Forza Audioworks to me.The cable did died on me , and i am glad  it did!!! Damn the Hybrid Noir HPC looks and  feel sick !!! I know that this cable won't have an end :D.

Big thanks again.

Looks nice. Because I have some troubles with factory headphone cable nowadays, I am thinking of recabling T5p by Forza Audio as well. Can you descibe, how this hybrid noir cable change the sound? Or there is no improvement about soundstage and/or low ends?
My first vote was this: http://forzaaudioworks.com/en/product.php?id_product=18 No suprise, according the picture... The Noir HPC is more expensive, I just need to know, if it is worth to "upgrade"...
Thanx.

I believe the headphones are 2-3 years old at least.  the leather is starting to wrinkle up and im noticing the sound improves dramatically when i press the earcups into my head, so i think their is a problem with the seal.  Ive just purchased some velour replacements on ebay, but i would really regret having to get rid of the original pads

I haven't got much listen to them before the stock cable breakout , so i can't tell if there's a sound difference. What i can really say is that this cabe feels and looks awesome!! It's made to resist a life-time , unless you use it for mountain hiking with it or something like that :D.

If polishing does not help you can purchase spare cups and exchange them:

Couple random thoughts to keep this thread alive:

I'm listening to "Rain" from Kenny Barron + David Holland's album "The Art of Conversation" and it sounds amazing.  I know it's been said before, but the T5p seems to love tube-amps (LH Pulse X feeding my Budgie SE amp).  I am always impressed by the spaciousness of these closed-cans and how they render mids.

When a fellow head-fier listened to these at the LA Head-Fi meet, he commented that "they don't sound closed".  I agree with his statement wholeheartedly.
