beyerdynamic T5p: Photos and first impressions.

Same here, BeyerDynamic has become my favorite headphones brand since I own T1, T5P and T70P.

The T5P for nomadism, getting better each hour more, and the modded T1 i just received which is compared to my non modded T1, day and light. I don't know if it's the burning time (around 1000h from the previous owner) or the recabling (or both), but I know what means sound perfection to my ears now....The T70P is another story, and now seems to avoid me stupid death in online warfare game due to it's precision on rendering sound location in those games.

No problem! Holla if you have any other questions or difficulty finding contact info. Lots of good guys around here to work with IMO.

For whatever reason, the T5p seems to take longer for my brain to acclimate than pretty much all my other headphones. I have to listen to them for a few minutes before I adjust and can really enjoy how ludicrously good they sound. (I think it's due to the relative dearth of bass compared to my other cans, but that's just a guess).

That's why pairing the T5P with an ALO Rx Mk3 - B+ is so effective : not changing the good and improving the (relative) flaw, and since the bass response is done by a dedicated knob.

What are the mods to your T1?

And it just so happens that someone is bringing that very amp to the Nashville meet I'm organizing in September... Think I'm gonna have to check that sucker out ;)

ive noticed there is a low frequency that makes the t5p right cup resonate and audibly rattle. anyone else notice this?

It could just be one case situation, if you want I can test it if you are willing to share the track that makes that rattling sound on your device.

I'm not sure if you mean that the issue was actually embedded in one of the files you were using, but assuming it is not: I had a bizarre resonance issue about a month after I got my T5p, did some research and found out that it's pretty common for a hair or something to get in behind the driver and cause issues. I sent mine off to a guy who does Beyer repairs, and he said it was just that-- a hair. He removed it and all was good with the T5p again.

Not certain that is your issue, but it might be. Just a thought.

if you have a chance take a listen at a moderate volume and let me know if you get the same problem on your t5ps

I'm out of town for the first part of the day and meeting a Head-Fi buddy for a beer later, but I'll try to have a listen tonight if time permits!

Alright so i noticed it at the 50second mark and it is only noticeable when the volume is up pretty loud. For me that is a big deal because i gotta have my levels loud to make sure everything is in place.errg
