Just make sure that the plug going into the cup is thin enough. Zoom in on the photos of any that you are considering. Sometimes you can tell if they look soft and flexible enough.

should the connectors on each cup be on mono? I got mine from customcansuk and this is what they gave me:

It really depends on how the connectors were wired inside. Does it work? If not, contact the seller.

My Nighthawk uses mono 2.5mm connectors into the cups. I use a replacement cable that fits Sennheiser HD497... it also has mono connectors. However , many users report using Sol Republic ones which are stereo.

Nice looking cable, BTW. And they included a sweet...lol. A custom here in the UK that I never encountered when I was still in Michigan:)

Thank you! well, the stock cable had stereo connectors too. The cable works but I am just curious if the 3.5 connectors should be mono or stereo when terminated to balanced :)

ah.. now I remember. I don't even know where my stock cable is so I forgot those were stereo connectors. I am sure yours are fine... like I said, it is a matter of how they are wired. The person who made the cable knew what to do. Don't worry about it.

I will be writing about Amiron very soon :heart_eyes_cat:
One of my favorite headphones. Also very underrated , yes it does show a treble spike on the measurement, but at least for me, it is not harsh or problematic !
I do wish it would drop in price for more people would give them a chance.

You'll enjoy them a lot :)

I still kinda miss mine, but I'm happy with my HE-500. The Amiron work really well with a good tube amp too.

Super cool!

I don't mind treble peaks, ie800 is one of my favorite IEMs and they have quite a bit of treble, thing which I love.

That sounds sweet!

I wonder if / hope that Amiron is driveable from FiiO X7mkii as well :smile_phones:

It seems to be a really nice headphone to take portably as well! :dt880smile:

Let's hope the waiting won't be too long!

Got me a used Amiron from a fellow HeadFier. It is a very interesting warm and detailed sounding headphone. Only I removed the pads for cleaning and could not get them back on as you are suggested to do it. Removed the plastic ring that holds the driver foam cover, attached the pads to the ring first and then placed the ring and the pads back on together. With the DT1770 and DT1990 it is much easier.

That is a problem with the Amirons pads. They have this double lip on the pads that make it harder to take on and off. Quite different sounding from the DT 1990, aren’t they?

Yes different enough to qualify as a different headphone.
