I want to try these too. This thing of liquid pads, allows to presage that a new evolved generation of headphones is coming soon. I hope in sound technology too. 
It should be a logical consequence the coming of t80 and t90 but not so granted. This could be a commercial experiment, so that if people start to buy t70 instead of dt770, they could replace the entire line. Or maybe they are just creating a middle level between the dt line and the top of line. T5p occupies another price range. I doubt that t70 will replace the T5p.
If they are improving the dt770 with this t70 I don't see why they shouldn't improve a model like dt990 with his so debated trebles which affected the full enjoyment for a lot of buyers. The dt880s are already good ok, but everything can be improved.

I personally do not think people will start to buy T70 instead of DT 770, just because they want closed hifi headphones, because T70 costs twice as more as DT 770.
For majority of people, who are willing to spent 200 USD on better headphones, is 450 EUR just overkill.

My dealer told the T70 will be available in August. looks promising and will depend on how much better they are if it will be worth the price. I am looking forward to them

It would be awesome if they kept the same voicing of the DT1350s and got a bigger soundstage from the larger cups.

If they improve from the DT1350 with bigger sounstage and confort (that shoud be easy) I believe Beyer got a homerun with these. We can only hope at this point.

Plus no idea whether it's worth it or better to wait until someone buys and dislikes a pair/to pick it up in the FS forum.
