Haha, damn it! I'm looking to get some Beyers soon, but I'm going to hold off and see what these are and when they will be released. I like the way it looks and I'm a fan of velour over leather so it'll depend on what sound they're going for and the final price.

A high end version of DT 770? It will be very interesting to see how they've tuned the sound compared to the T5p. Pricing seems similar to the Ultrasone Pro 900 so with the T5p competing with the Edition 8 Beyerdynamic really seem to be going after Ultrasone on several price ranges.

That's what I thought when I looked at them too, hope the 32ohm ones do a good job as good closed portables are something I'm always on the lookout for.

Those pads don't look like the standard beyer velour though, maybe its just a wierd picture but they almost look like lens cloth type material rather than ridged velour...

It will probably end up being a luxurious DT770 instead of a small T1. Too bad they're not implementing their version of S-Logic in their new products - the T1 really has an amazing soundstage!

Those pads look weird - still - exciting stuff - subscribed.

That's what I thought too!  I wonder how they will work with orthos....

More competition in the $400-600 range? Yes please.

heh, so this one finally surfaced as prophesied by their miniblog :D
very curious about the end sound and comfort. (T5p sound-flavour) is definitely not for everyone

The cups look a bit strange (cheap compared with T5p, seem the same as 880)and the earpads do too.(err, velour of some sort?)
Had a problem with T5p touching my ears at the top of the cups but this seems to have a foam back (can't see angled or not)...Bit strange these are single entry.

Also, the holders are still aluminum, aren't they? Just not perforated?

Finally, I wonder if the 2 versions are only different by the impedance.
