I don't see Beyer as being that cupid and marketing oriented.

Still, it would be stupid not to come up with an HD800 counterpart.

I think speculating that it is the same driver isn't really worthwhile.  When the cans come out, then we will know.

They are not the same drivers....same technology, yes, but not the same drivers...

Usually I'm pedantic myself but it should've been pretty clear out of the context.. :)

Also, it makes a lot of sense to re-use as much parts as possible of the T1 driver except they decide to cripple it.

Thanks for that - this was certainly my impression as well from what I read, that the drivers are NOT the same.

these are definitely going on my list of possible replacements for my d2000's.   Not that i don't like them, but I'm ready for something new and these look promising and wont require selling any major organs

Not very likely since nobody has heard this yet. It has not been released for sale so we are still waiting.

Advertised for sale at a Beyer shop in Beijing. Retail US$299 or so. Not sure if it's a preorder or readily available.

If I get a chance to check it out in Beijing, I'll report back.

You could get it from Beyer direct or alt. Thomann.

Thanks

Nope.  They are not slated for release until mid-June, if I understand correctly.  I sure wish I had them - I am completely without a pair of good portable headphones that are not noise-canceling at the moment.  I need a pair today for the train, and the PXC-350 are just to much to wear on the train and walk around downtown in...
