Yes, they will sell the replacement parts (although some have said, in the past that obtaining the Gen. Leather headband covers could be problematical).

Actually I had no problem ordering two replacement leather headband covers. I think it helped that I repled to an email confirming my original order - so it was confirmed as a replacement part.

Oh this place is evil. Now I'm starting to think about a pair of 600 ohm DT990s in the exact matching colour scheme to my DT880s.

The 600 ohm DT880s sound so great with my Earmax Pro. Do the 600 ohm DT990s tube up as nicely?

OH YEAH. I use my 600 ohm DT990's every day in my office with the Singlepower Extreme. That is my office rig, and it sounds heavenly.

Quick question... With all these different Beyerdynamic headphones... What are the differences between the difference editions? Which models are the best? What's the difference between the 880 and 990 and the pro and not pro editions?

Which one is the best is up to your ears to decide. As to what the differences are has been discussed many times. Seek and ye shall find.

Here are my new DT770/600's:

So far the sound is a little surprising - there is FAR, FAR less bass than on my DT990/600's, even after 120 hours break in. Maybe they have been tweaking the sound of the 770? To me it sounds more like a closed 880 than a closed 990...

Well, kind of, yeah! These are actually the LEAST bassy headphones I currently own, at least as of now. Quite a surprise. Less bass than the Denon, Kenwood, and JVC cans I own. Less bass than the Ultrasone 780 and AT ESW9 too.

Certainly not at all bad sounding, but still a real surprise. They do not sound like I recall the 770/250's I had a year or so ago.
