Thats what i always do with my fidelios x2hr and works great. Now i want to clear my doubts about if the G8x has the ess sabre or not and mqa unfolding capabilities.

I think LG G8x is same as LG V60 = no MQA
But I could be mistaken, but I remember that when was MQA backed in was also LG music showing MQA status and doing proper unfolding.

I think maybe you are right brother. I checked in meta data in the app and is sampling MQA 192khz file at 48khz but displays wrongly 192khz. UAPP need to fix it and post the correct sample rate

I've only heard the g8, and it's amazing. I like it much more than the v20. I've read that the v50 has better isolation from radio interference than the g8, so should perform better with airplane mode off.

There is something very fishy about the G8x ive seen plenty of reviews stating that it has MQA capabilities and the ES9218 DAC but if you look now that info seems to be erased or blocked from the internet. Now the new V60 isnt MQA compatible nor has advertised the DAC as a sabre one. Something might had happened between those companies and MQA licensing too.

Amazon HD not yet.
i am testing Qobuz on LG G8X now and i like quality way more than Tidal just not so much choice.
Best choice is Spotify but no Flac support so some music really sounds dull.

I am very pleased with the V40. I am currently exploring all possible music at TIDAL.
Some albums sound very good.
But my FLACs still sound much better through the UAPP app.

I had a problem with my navigation buttons on the xplay, i didn't like them either cause back button was on the rightNo expandable micro sd card slot. If we're talking about using it as a music device then for me it's gotta have expendable memory


I'm not trying to be mean but explain yourself about LG devices? Then you say most phones still have headphone jacks. Name them?

Camera trails way beneath other offerings....if the cameras were better I would use LG

But i wonder why g8 cost 150$ less than v50. Anyway, i make an order for v50 already... after vivo xplay5s i hope i will not been dissapointed...

Every company, like vivo in 2016 and lg in 2020 mobed ess dacs from they phones
