Been looking at some Sennheisers and Audiotechnias but honestly have no idea. Almost stupidly bought some Beats but thankfully realized they were a waste of money. As you can see, I'm pretty new to headphones.

I want them for listening to music on my iphone 5, macbook pro and maybe sometimes on a PC. I mostly listen to house, techno, hip-hop, pop and alternative. I want them to especially work well with house music. Think Swedish House Mafia, van Buuren or even Tiesto.

Two songs I want to sound crisp are:

Tiesto - Feel It in my Bones

Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y6smkh6c-0

Also, style is still important. I'm not stylish or trendy but looks come 3rd after sound quality and comfort.

So,

1. Sound Quality
2. Comfort
3. Style/Aesthetics

Here are some headphones I've been looking at.

Ironic you posted this, we just had a discussion where erincamera had the same issue about picking a set of headphones, I believe she went with Beyer dt990. Here is the link in case you want to check it out and see what others said http://www.head-fi.org/t/638060/new-headphones/60#post_8908550.
It is also weird that you listed those two songs, I have been destroying DYWC on repeat for the last two days using the ath-m50. Playing from my macbook pro through my e6 is eargasm so I can definitely vouch for them.

Looks like someone else in the thread mentioned the M50's and I really like their look as well so they're my top choice right now. I think the dt990's are a bit out of my price range and I don't really plan on getting an amp or anything.

I'll just wait for a few more opinions but looks like I'm going for the M50's right now.

I did glance a few times at the HD280's but to be honest they weren't visibly pleasing to me. How's their sound quality compared to the M50's and comfort level?

The Senny's that you listed are not going to be your best bet for your type of music. I generally avoid the 4xx series in general but especially in terms of bass I don't think you will be satisfied.

The M50 will be the better out of your picks but it seems to me you are looking for a portable headphone. The M50 has a very long cable (about 10ft long). If you would like to get them from soundprofessionals.com they will modify them for you with the removable cable and you can use any length you want. It will cost you about 150 to 160 for one of those.

I personally prefer the KRK KNS8400 over the M50 by a large margin. But they may not meet your fashion criteria.

Due to the bass emphasis with good detail I like to recommend the UE6000 for EDM. WIth the particular song you linked I would think you would want a colored bass.

I have not heard ultrasones but you could look those models up as well they get mentioned a lot on edm requests.

Thanks for the detailed response. So, do the KRK KNS8400 have better bass than the M50's? Out of the three M50, UE6000 for EDM and KRK KNS8400, which are the best for EDM in your opinion? Sorry, I'm pretty new to headphones but what is colored bass and which of those three would have it and the best variation of it? Thanks again for your advice.

Personally i would take the KRK as an overall headphone. The KRK has more bass quantity than the M50 and they just sound more natural overall.

The KRK and the UE are very different. The UE has much more emphasis on bass. They do a good job IMO with maintaing clear natural detail in the highs without being harsh but the mids kind of take a backseat and can make some vocals and things like acoustic guitar sound distant. But if you are a bass head they can turn out some serious bass. Like ear rattling.
