Hello All,
What do you think are the best headphones priced between 75 and 150 dollars for listening to music (mainly hip hop and rock - not classical)? I was considering the Sennheister HD 280, but I am not too sure.

Shure SRH840's would be my best bet.  $100 used, $160 retail.

Shure don't give you enough bang for you buck
 
Get some Koss DJ100 and get a set of MDR-V6 pads to go with it if you wish. $80 for DJ100 and $13 for the pair. Watch out, they only sell one pad at a time
 
Or you can just get Sony MDR-V6 which I use for pop/rap/classical

Aren't there any better quality ones that are available within my price range? The Sony MDR-V6 seem awesome but a bit too cheap. What do you think about the ATH-AD700?

Not a favorite for hip hop / rock.  You might be able to find some ATH M50s ~$150.
