P.S. How was your experience with buying from Audio-gd? Shipping speed, etc.? I guess I'm just excitedly impatient to get my setup in shape, and they don't have any 'cart' I can place an order, and am still waiting for their reply.

P.P.S. Nice C6 sig :)

I'm in the USA I bought from Pacific Valve as they are a reseller of them here in the states.

Thanks on the C6.  Gotta love the GM V8 engines.  :)

Ok. I checked Pacific Valve earlier but they're out of stock of NFB-12's, so I'll just have to hope Audio-gd isn't too slow I guess.

I'm buying an HD 650 or 600 with Audio-GD NFB-12 :)

Originally I didn't want to need extra clunky equipment just to use headphones, but in the end I gave that idea up since I'd rather have best sound quality.

I just nuked my post. My reading comprehension skills arent so good sometimes. Anyway I think your probably going to like your NFB 12. I have a Sparrow that I use with my Grado's. The 600's and 650's both have awesome reputations too. Enjoy!

Yeah I know, then I tried to nuke mine but then failed miserably as you can see by the three blank posts above :)

Once the item ships (use DHL) it gets to the US very fast.  2-4 days isn't uncommon.  The advantage to PV is you'd have a US based service center.  I agree with NOsferatu's comments regarding the HD650s, HD600s--it pretty much matches my experience owning both, both new drivers.  The guy who runs Razordogdeals is a nice guy, and he's flexible IME; in case you need to work something out.

Is it recommended to get a 650 cable for the 600, or does it not matter much?

kiteki: I don't want closed headphones.

If you don't want an amp, the 32-ohm DT880 is a nice option.

ac500 I'm not sure if you'll be satisfied with the HD600 directly from your sound-card, I'm pretty sure they require some sort of amplification, so you'll most likely end up spending a fair bit and losing portability.

The Fostex T50RP apparently sound OK unamped, and are said to compete with headphones in the ~$300 range, just an idea.  I haven't heard the T50RP myself just going by consensus on head-fi.
