Indeed, Rush is amazing on anything! I'm awaiting Clockwork Angels!

Yea, can't wait for that one! The two singles released from it are as good as anything they've done imo. And SnA was such a great album too.

So I think I'm going to get the SRH840's

Good choice. I've never heard them but if they are anything like my 940's they'll sound great. The 940's have a crispness and speed/energy that matches well with Rush too.

This new hardcover coffeetable book from Martin Popoff, Rush: Album By Album is pretty great, and has me on another Rush kick. Popoff has done the Heavy Metal guides, and maybe is too productive in that he recycles interviews to crank out book after book. But this one has a bit from Popoff, then has people like Kirk Hammett talking about the albums.

I've been listening to them mainly on my beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro at home and Denon AH-D2000 at work.

As far as portables go, those weren't bad, though I chose the NAD HP-50 over them. However at Axpona I heard the Meze Neo, which are shipping soon for $249. Those are the ones to beat at that pricepoint.
