I dug some old mdr-v600's out of the closet but they're falling apart and sound pretty dreadful. I just want something comfortable (I have a huge head) with good bass and treble. Something that will play my love of acoustic but then womp some dubstep when I'm in the mood.

About the superlux ones. Is there a big difference between the hd-681's and the hd-651's? I do like the styling of the 651's but if one performs better than that's more important.

Well, just ordered the superlux 681's. I'm not too picky nor am I a huge audiophile so I think these will be great.

You went for the AKG copy headphones? i've heard good things about them.
