I got an HD600 in great condition with the box and a HD650 cable already on it for 117 euro on ebay. Also, I think the $79 SCL4 was a pretty good deal. Nice having places to live in both the US and EU =). A barely used K271mkii for $115 with all accessories and a Mogami cable was pretty decent too.

That's incredible bfb...

Not that uncommon, really. They're getting more attention right now, but aren't mainstream yet. I came across my first pair (IIRC) around the end of 2007. They were really good and I made a few posts in the Beyerdynamic Owners thread. I didn't want to come out full-on nuts over them because I didn't know if I was still in the new toy phase or would come across as attention-seeking. I hoped a few others would find pairs and not come to strangle me for recommending something bad. Turns out they're the real deal, however. Keep your eyes open for a used pair before everyone else catches on!

I'd have to go for a big, stuffed bag of candy (mainly licorice) for about €1. Can't beat that. Hearing myself munching while wearing IEMs is priceless.

I'm the crazy uncle (no pun) in the DT48 family.

2. Used Beyerdynamic DT48 for about $60. Read the raving reviews of the select few of us who own these. A few of the superphones might better it, but these smoke pretty much everything in detail retrieval and accuracy.

Wow - that is a flat out steal - I'm jealous

Yes, but I'm positive the seller knew nothing about them. He marketed them as HD480s and said they were crystal radio headphones.

For me, I think the DT220s were a great bargain. They were less than $30 shipped and sounds good for the price. The KSC75s beat them though.

It's funny, I bought a bunch of these and have never found anything near that price - wow
