Hi guys,

I have a mini matrix balanced DAC, little dot mk VII, silver xlr interconnects and a HD 600 with stock cable. I wanna go balanced with my setup. The thing is the little dot mk VII have the single ended 1/4 jack and the xlr 4 pin jack, anyone knows if it's possible to go balanced just by using the
1) 1/4 jack with stock cable
 2) with a newly puchased balanced cable like the morigami cables but with a 1/4 plug?
3) a xlr balanced cable.
4) a balanced cable with a 1/4 plug and a xlr adapter connected towards the xlr 4 pin jack on the little dot mk VII

i know it's a little confusing, help and advises a deeply appreciated!

You cannot go balanced with the 1/4" plug (you can only go balanced to 1/4", not the other way around).
It's easiest to cut the end off and reterminate with a Neutrik XLR plug that can be found lots of places. You need a solder gun, multimeter and solder- this is easier than it may seem to you and if you bought all these items (maybe $25), it's still much less than an aftermarket cable and will sound the same.
Search the DIY forum- that's where this question should be put.
