I noticed my K701 have odd markings on the speaker and was wondering if they are normal...
I'm talking about the line markings and there seems some other markings around the headphones
but the picture doesn't show them.. sorry my camera sucks...

Are you talking about that notch on the gray plastic? If so I wouldn't be worried, that shouldn't affect anything other than looks, though it's strange that a mark is there in the first place.
 
How is the sound of your K701?

they havent full burned in yet so no clue but ill post something after I get my amp

Even without burn in you should be able to tell if the cans are broken. I've run the K701 out of a DAP without an amp and could hear its characteristics fine. It'll be enough to tell if it's broken or not.

Those little marks in the drivers are normal, they're on my K702s as well.

i noticed those on my K702s as well. had me worried when i first got them as well. must be normal though.
