Yes, indeed. Only I notice on some tracks, the vocal will sound a bit muffled or bloated while the instruments is very clear at the background I'm not sure whether it's just I'm not used to forwarded mid yet or there's something wrong with the iem itself :0
With multiple instruments tha layering could sometimes be difficult to execute well. But for acoustic solo performance with few instruments that's where I think the AV1s shines best. The player/source you're using could also help with the separation, imaging and resolution of course.

Unfortunately I didn't have any IEM in the same range as the AV1s. Most high end I have before the AV1s is my TFZ no.3, which is around $109 and it's a single DD based IEM.
I guess I'll have to get one and try it out!

I think that maybe the case. I have tried to listen to Adele's Skyfall with both Av1s and my Pai Audio DR2, which was V-shaped. With AV1s, Adele sounds fuller and thick but it seems like being drowned by the instruments that was happening at the back, thus causing it sound muffled. Meanwhile, with my DR2, her voice is clearer than at the AV1s but very thin sounding but not drowned by the instruments.

Note: I only have this issue when I play that song via tidal in HIFI quality. When I try it with other app, spotify/joox, it doesn't get that much bloated/muffled. Though it still not as clear as other song. Maybe because it's the recording issue?

prob better wait until it proper burn in. It was suggested around 50 hours...

but I can comment the accessories, the pouch was very good, above decent for the price.
I dont like the original Eartip. so I choose my TFZ eartip, since i like big bore diameter, and off course will affect the bass....

I can only tell you, the vocal will be more open if AMP9 High Output turn on...

They use the same pouch for their higher line stuff, so yeah.
Okay, let us know more about it

I am not good in Introducing and also this impression from user perspective who support the development of local product.

With price tag around USD 36 - 39, AVARA NEO is create to serve entry level and some mainstream listener...

The build quality consider Very good, with additional USD 7.5 /side , you can custom the face plate of each side.. IMO, this can be the affordable budget to custom IEM, in term of exterior / face plate.
AVARA Neo is still universal setup IEM.

Fitting, more on seal...
I was quite often having problem with the sealing... it keeps falling off from my ear... internal ear pressure?
Anyway, I often need some adjustments every 15 - 30 minutes of listening.
When it seals perfectly, enjoyment come...
Quite good soundproof also...

Sound Impression...
As recommended by Alvon, the founder, NEO need Burn in. After that let's experiment with this fellow.
with cable stock, TFZ silicon eartip & G. Note 8. The sound is Mild V shaped toward Bright.
Hi Treble (Spark), Separation and Soundstage will be NEO highlight.

LOW (Bass).
Spotify might can make a bit puncy in Mid bass, but don't get that expectation high.
Sub bass just there.
Pairing with AMP8EX-FE, will add solid round bass (better detail), but same weight.
Cable rolling, 179 will help Mid bass a bit round, and Sub bass get detail... but again, same weight.

MID (Vocal),
Male Vocal, recess, enough detail.
Best pairing with AMP9, Male Vocal will get emphasize. edit: AMP9 to NEO pairing had waterfall hiss.
Female Vocal *Highlight, Wow... if you are Wibu, J-Pop, K-Pop etc... u might need to heard this.
It reminds me of CFA Polaris V1, since its Hybrid IEM, and very good in Pseudo female vocal...
Clarity wise, POLARIS have his own class.

HIGH (Treble)
The upper Treble (Spark) *Highlight, was good, a borderline to Sibilance for me, but can be piercing for other.

Due to Spark, the separation*) is quite managable.. especially in High sector....

Soundstage, IMO, is not the widest, but quite can give depth, impressive enough for the price.

Detail, hmm... except Female vocal, well its suit in the price bracket.

OverDrive time... (Just hyperbolic, LOL)

Pairing with DX221Mk2, ALO Super Litz SE, & Neo
20200124_100045.jpg
the pairing helps the Mid Bass. it's just give better detail...
Male vocal get more detail, still recess....

Change the cable to 179.
20200124_114652.jpg
It adds the Mid Bass a quite small marginal. Not worthy to invest further more on cable if you after bass... just my opinion. Use Spotify felt much more effective to get bass exp. IMHO.

Adding Custom eartip and pairing with Local Cable Verus..
20200123_075114.jpg
The sound presentation become laid back, Monitoring style.
Cable implications is add coherence sounding, The soundstage become narrow but the depth increase...

Conclusion of my Impression, For First batch, IMO quite good execution, Product presentation, and build quality.
Hope with these, Avara will gain more exp to which Sound tuning. IMO, not easy to cater mainstream sound...
Looking forward to the next Hybrid.
Nicely Done...

edit: 179 cable is custom 8 braids 26 AWG UPOCC Copper with Cyro treatment, not Litz.

edit 2: pairing with BRISE UPG001Ref cable to NEO, only thicken the vocal, yes, Vocal Male will get more detail. the rest, will be much the same...

Hey folks, just got the EST-6 in-house for review! Alvon and I were enthusiastic to go with an all-clear design to showcase the EST transformers and driver setup inside. Safe to say, the result is stunning and without imperfections - these photos were taken with very direct lighting so any blemishes are likely fine dust particles on the surface. To the eye, they are flawless.

Still early days for sound impressions but I'm hearing a balanced sound with surprising weight and impact in the bass that maintains body and a natural tone. The midrange timbre sounds a little off to me, but that could just be me coming from non-usual gear. Certainly, there is a focus on female vocals that are presented with great clarity and cleanliness. I think many are sceptical of Sonion's estat tweeters due to their sensitivity. However, it was reassuring to see how much attention Avara gave to the tonality during the development process, even investing in a very cost-prohibitive GRAS measurement system to ensure they were hitting their targets. I'm glad to report that their efforts have paid off, there's good presence up-top with a very clean transient response and outstanding fine detail retrieval. I'm hearing a more intimate soundstage albeit with good organisation and very sharp, accurate localisation.

Eye candy below, happy listening!
