WickedDigital + 2.
Bought my Shure 115's and later on 425's from them. Shipping was extremely fast.

MiniDisc.com.au +1
Bought my Cowon J3 from them, shipped timely considering I ordered on 22nd, Dec. Received it 28th Dec!
Bricked the J3 and they allowed me to return it under DOA.

Now I'm eyeing those Red 535's from A2A.

Just wish someone local sold iBasso gear.

Ooh this is a useful thread.

My two cents:

Dealt with Wicked Digital twice, bought a uDAC 2 online and a MSII+ in store, great on both occasions.

Bought from Headphonic once (an RE-0), would also rate them positively.

I also want to suggest the Audio Technica lounge at Westfield Sydney CBD (Pitt St). Although they only sell AT gear, they do deals, you can try almost everything, and the staff there are friendly. I've shopped from them numerous times, and feel very positive about em.

If you're in Canberra, Miranda Hi-Fi in Garema Place in the city has HD-800s now, as well as a variety of other headphones, as does Duratone in Phillip.

For the DIYers, I've found krispykables.com.au to be good. Bought a 1/4" Furatech connector from them.
Also http://www.sydneysoundcables.com.au/ for Canare quadstar cable under 100m length. I bought 10 from them for $37 delivered.

Have purchased my HD-280 pros from Soundcorp.  I have bought heaps of stuff from them and they are super reliable and fast with shipping (if you choose to get stuff shipped).  Only drawback is that they don't allow returns for headphones at all.

Bought my SRH-840s from DJ Warehouse.  The guys let me check out their headphones for 30 - 40 minutes without pushing me one way or another.

Great thread, haven't heard of many of the retailers in the first few posts.

Addicted to Audio is very good, I paid for a Cypher Labs Solo by bank deposit on Sunday night and they got the transfer by Monday, sent it and I got it on Tuesday, great stuff!

Another big + for Addicted to Audio.

Ordered a set of DT-1350's and an iPod LOD late Monday night, they were dispatched about midday Tuesday, with detailed information emailed to me and also left as a note in my account on the website. They arrived to my work on Wednesday afternoon, nicely packaged in a bubble wrap satchel.

Add to that free express shipping! Will definitely buy from them again. Maybe a Fiio E11 next week...

Hadn't heard of this site before this thread either, so big thanks to everyone who reccomended A2A.

Alright bought both my Woo Audio products from Addicted 2 Audio and it couldn't have gone any better. The stand was bought online and delivered to my door for within the next day. No worries there.

I went in-store to buy the Woo Audio 2 and it was an extremely pleasant experience. I chatted to George for a while about the Woo amps in general and the LCD line of phones during the transaction and it was just a really friendly environment. Alas I didn't have time to stay otherwise I would have auditioned the LCD3.

Clearly these guys have a great relationship with the guys at Woo. Upon unpacking the amp I noticed there was a miniscule looking imperfection on the volume knob. I'm quite pedantic about these things when I buy something new so I emailed Jack at Woo about buying a replacement knob. I really didn't expect them to send one for free as it was a very minor detail and completely trivial. A few days later George emails me about it - it turns out Jack had contacted him about my email and organized a new volume knob to be sent free of charge with their next shipment. As soon as it landed in Melbourne I received it the next day.

Needless to say very impressed by both companies after this experience.

What a handy thread. I can vouch for Headphonic - great service and advice. Can't say the same for Audiophile though. I've been trying to arrange an audition of some Grado's with Nick and his off-sider for months now and they're just so cagey. It's like trying to procure an illicit substance. I had no idea about Addicted to Audio. How long have they been around? They have a fantastic range. Heading over to Kew is definitely on my "to do" list.

Thanks to this thread, I checked out both Jaben and Addicted to Audio which were the most accomodating and comprehensive for auditioning and knowledge. Will definitely be buying my next pair from one of them, Jaben is in a more convenient location for me though.

I did think it was odd that Audiophile offer auditioning by appointment only. That took them off my list immediately.

Also, I visited Store DJ who are also great and have a decent amount of low to mid priced cans on offer though they tend to be overpriced on some items.

P.S.: It may also be worth putting a note against shops who primarily sell headphones.

General Pro Audio Sales: Store DJ, DJ Warehouse, Allans/Billy Hyde (not worth mentioning since they dont have any cans available to audition), Soundcorp

Headphone Stores: Jaben, Addicted to Audio, Audiophile, Headphonic

Having now visited most these stores, of course it is best to buy from those specialising in headphones. Better auditioning, better prices and generally better knowledge and support.

I did buy most my studio gear from Soundcorp though and they are fantastic, cheap and offer fast delivery. I have easily spent over 5k with them. For pro audio they are my favourite store.

Cheers folks
