Aurisonics ROCKETS: Impressions Thread

It may be easier (and more practical) to find a small round food container that fits the Nest. Something like this or that.

Nice finds. I'd like to have something like the first link, but maybe with Otter Box style materials. Any which way it goes, I'm interested to see what the AS guys come up with, considering the level of ergonomic thought that went into the Rockets themselves.

If it is only for storage of the IEMs and needs to be small I like these designs with winder.

Personally I've never liked winders, because they put a certain amount of strain on the cable & because it takes time to wind/unwind the earphones.
Something like Jays made would be good. Personally I use this here which takes a bit more space, but allows easy withdrawal and storage of earphones...

Are you really discussing about cases for IEMs that, in theory can be bashed everywhere without any consideration? My bad for the hate.

Even the most rugged iem deserves some lovin'. Besides I'm a firm believer in taking care of nice things even if they are meant to take a beating.

It's just caring for your purchases -- I have full coverage on my truck, but that doesn't mean I push shopping carts around the parking lot with it or leave it out in hail storms for fun.

Yes, because even if you have a warranty, this doesn't mean that it's free as time is money and it takes time to arrange for the earphones to be sent back to Aurisonics + you can't listen to them while they're being repaired...

The latest update makes it seem like Aurisonics may agree with you though :)   I am a bit confused, but it looks like the case/pouch is off the table unless we want to upgrade to the otterbox.

That makes two of us. What about the earlier design Dale provided us with? And the 'We are still open to input' thing he posted less than 2 days ago?

We are looking at a few options but want to keep it small. What we posted is an idea. We are still open to input in the case.

Maybe just a little tired of the NAMM and with just 3 days ahead........ I guess I would have done the same

Dale and his crew still have so much work to do, we should let them finish the job and just be happy (..)

I think AS skipped on the Austin meet. Apparently our WarrenpChi has heard them at NAMM though

So now we get it all! All stretch goals were met. I'm not sure I'll use the extra set of tips, but I always enjoy having more for tip rolling purposes.
