You know what? The impedance curve range don't look all that bad. It's on the range from 4 to 10 ohms. Andromeda went from 4 to peak impedance at 24 ohms. Also the phase variance of only 5 degrees is pretty good.

Check this out. Look how similar the SR009 response looks to T800. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/moo...ressions-thread.894139/page-294#post-15401809

I have my eyes on the TRI I3 as my next new iem. It graphs extremely similar to the Hidition Viento. And so far, impressions and reviews are looking very positive. Dsnuts loves them. He absolutely loves them. A dynamic driver for lows, planar for mids and ba for treble. Looks like it might be the new hype soon.

We don't need another hype :D but if they tuned the planar well, I might be interested in trying the pair. (tbh, Dsnuts liking them doesn't mean anything to me since he loved the DM6 which almost killed my ears back then lol)

I found the Samsung AKG eartips I use on my T800 if anyone would like to try them out. They are called ALXCD Eartips for S9, S9+. It's a long name.... They are sold on amazon :) I am still trying to decide which I like more. These or the JVC. I find the ALXCD has a better fit, gives more texture in the low end and has a overall slightly more balanced sound while having bigger low end and maybe a bit more sparkle up top. JVC have the bigger and more smoother sound and slightly bigger soundstage maybe. If you are using a copper cable I think these pair better than the JVC but that is my personal opinion. I keep swapping but I always go back to them.

For early adopters of AQ3 Audiosense has prepared 25% ($45) off coupon. The coupon is valid until January 13. The sale starts tomorrow.

Anyone have any insight how the AQ3 might compare with the ISN H40?

On another note, I had cable 175 on my T800s and switched it for cable 90. What a difference! The T800s sounded weak in the low end with the 175, but with the other cable the bass is suddenly there.

This is off topic. But does anyone own the Tin Hifi P1? I know it has extremly tight, clean low end but it is light. But being a planar, planar drivers can handle eq extremely well. How does the P1 sound with eq? Maybe a 3 or 4db increase at 31 and 3.5 to 2.5 db increase at 62.... It's what I used to do when I owned the Isine 20 and damn would they pump out insane low end and they still were crystal clear. I also know planars need heaps of juice. I got the E1DA 9038s for that so no issue there.

Eq does help, but giving it more power helps more. On my fiio m11 on high gain the bass is very bass light but on my jds labs atom high gain it is a much more acceptable level. But Still quite low bass. So I unfortunately don't recommend the P1 to anyone that wants to have bass and only for people who want neutrality.

I have spoke to many that own the P1 and use it with the 9038s on performance mode. They say that they sometimes eq the 31 and 62 with 6db on 32 and 3 db on 62 and it reaches bass head level. Being a closed back planar I can from experience expect it to reach that kind of low end. And with 1 Watt of power, it sure is enough to make the P1 handle it... Anything above 1 Watt for the P1 is just overkill and it doesnt really need it. So I have the power and Eq all ready :). I am a former basshead after all . Hardstyleloco is my name after all haha
