If they are not already vented stock, most IEMs can be vented. I mod them all the time with vents. But I do it for sound tuning purposes, and also to eliminate driver flex sometimes.

There is no need to spend $700 to get a vented IEM. I have $3 earphones that came stock with a vent. Heck, the $9 KZ ED9 has a vent in the dull brass filter (not the shiny gold one).

Man cutting into a beautiful $700 moondrop does not sound easy. Plus I have no idea how you would vent a solid filled IEM actually. Impossible.

Don't get the 2 types of vents confused.

The type of vent you're looking for is a front vent. A front vent is located in front of the driver, and generally situated at or near the nozzle. It is what relieves positive pressure, eliminating driver flex, suction effect in the ears, and the altitude change annoyance you referred to.

The other type of vent - the one people are confused about - is a rear vent. The rear vent is located anywhere behind the driver. It can literally be located just about anywhere in a shell depending on the shell design, and as long as it actually vents behind the driver.

The Audiosense T800 has a rear vent and no front vent.

What you said about not being able to add a "vent" to a solid filled resin IEM is normally true, but only referring to a rear vent. A front vent, on the other hand, can be added to almost any and every IEM - solid, filled, hollow, metal, plastic, wood, whatever. As I said before, I've done it many, many times.

https://crinacle.com/2020/01/02/the-big-new-years-update-the-insignificants/

So Crinacle finally posted about the T800. I guess he thinks it only gets a C... Makes me question his entire list after that. It should at least be a B- or a C+ if you wanna be super picky comparing it to others around that same level. I would defiantly put it B territory myself. Whatever I suppose, just one persons opinion.

I mean, he says this about the QDC Fusion "Dulled transients and lacks detailing. Tonality is merely okay." and it gets a B-.... LOL He really has no neg to say about t800 just that they aren't special...

I would assume they have better Transients and detail over the fusion but yet, they are rated worse? lol
